Cook Time: 15 minutes

What's in the Box

  • 1 lb Ground Pork
  • 1 Head Romaine Lettuce
  • 2–3 Whole Tomatoes
  • 4 oz Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese

Pantry Ingredients

Taco Seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano (optional)

Additional pantry items:

  • ¼ cup water
  • Tortilla chips (optional)
  • Salsa, sour cream, or hot sauce (optional)

Directions

1. Cook the Pork

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it into crumbles, until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

2. Season the Meat

Stir together the chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and oregano. Add the seasoning mixture and ¼ cup water to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the liquid is mostly absorbed.

3. Prepare the Salad

  • Chop the romaine into bite-sized pieces.
  • Dice the tomatoes.
  • Shred the cheddar cheese if using a block.

4. Assemble

Divide the romaine among four bowls. Top with the seasoned pork, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.

5. Serve

Serve with crushed tortilla chips and your favorite taco toppings if desired.
